Moroccan cuisine combines the best aspects of several ethnic and geographical influences including Arab, European and native peoples.
Spices have been imported to Morocco for thousands of years, however, a number of home-grown ingredients are still widely used, including mint, olives, oranges and lemons, prickly pear, and shad from the Sebou River. Other items cultivated in Morocco include almonds, dates, walnuts, chestnuts, barley, honey, cherries and melon. Fish is abundantly available from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Sebou River. Lamb and poultry are also widely raised inland. |
Standard fare for a Moroccan meal might include couscous, kababs, Tajine (a kind of Moroccan stew), followed by mint tea and desserts that are delightfully sweet (but not too rich).
We encourage you to explore our menu below at your leisure and invite you to make a reservation in order to experience these wonderful tastes for yourself.
